Watchmensch available Nov 18!Watchmensch Cover

Updated November 17, 2009, 3:03pm

We received word from Apple that Watchmensch has been approved and will go live tomorrow, November 18. Actually, in Australia, where it's already tomorrow, it's already live.

We're very excited about this one. This is the first of what we hope to be many iPhone comics in our future. Our comic reader is very easy to use, and takes full advantage of pinch and zoom, autorotation, and other iPhone features. We'll be releasing more books ourselves, and are talking to other independent publishers.

Watchmensch is a Watchmen parody comic written by Rich Johnston (The Flying Friar, Civil Wardrobe, Holed Up, X-Flies, and the upcoming Image book Chase Variant) and drawn by Simon Rohrmuller. Rich also is the editor of BleedingCool.com, a popular blog of comics news and gossip. Simon has done a great job getting the Dave Gibbons look and feel. The book was originally published in black and white, but we are presenting the book in full color, with colors by Mike Meyer.

The App Store link, which should go live at midnight, is: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=337794043&mt=8.

Game Show now Live!

Gameshow screenshot

Updated September 9, 2009, 4:45pm

Sure enough, submit an app just before vacation, figuring it will take 2 weeks for approval, and it goes live while you are gone. Game Show went live September 2nd.

Game Show is a soundboard app with over 60 game show sound effects and phrases. Rather than the usual soundboard with buttons, this one is presented as a game show stage, and you need to explore to see which sounds are triggered where. Of course, if you get tired of guessing, you can make the hidden buttons visible, and can also play with the pitch of the sounds.

Also, unlike other Game Show soundboards (and you know which one I'm talking about), this one has a theme song.

You can get it on the app store at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/game-show/id315554283?mt=8

Updated April 30, 2009, 12:12pm

It's been a busy couple of weeks. iBuddha Lite was launched, and has already been downloaded in over 37 countries. In the meantime, we're hard at work at finishing GameShow, and a new product to be announced. Watch this space for more details. You can get a peek of the icon for GameShow on our apps page, which we've finally updated, complete with app store links.

Updated April 9, 2009, 8:31pm

We've been informed by Apple that iBuddha is now live on the iTunes App Store, available for 99 cents. It will likely take a few hours to show up on searches yet, but you can get it directly at http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=298153386.

We're still waiting to hear about iBuddha Lite, but that should also launch shortly.

The Waiting Game

Updated April 3, 2009

This is the white knuckle part of submitting an app to the App Store, the approval process. iBuddha and iBuddha Lite are now in Apple's hands, and we hope to hear back soon. In the meantime, we have plenty of work to do, especially getting this web site ready.
